 California State Senate Woman of the Year, 12-language soprano, and genre-defying violinist Maki Mae announces her Woman of the Year Tour. As seen on America's Got Talent, Cannes Film Festival, and other international events, her fusion performances range from Phantom of the Opera to Queen. Her concert at San Gabriel Cleaver Hall on July 14, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. will benefit the Asian Youth Center. To Excellence Award, Suk Ching Leung Scholarship and Cheou Wang Scholarship opportunities are now OPEN to all past and current AYC seniors and college students. AYC will honor up to ten (10) outstanding AYC participants or former participants with academic scholarships of $500-$2,500 per student to offset their expenses at an accredited college, university, or vocational training institution of their choice. Applications must be received no later than Friday, February 22nd, 2019 by 5:00PM. Winners for the May L. AYC would like to extend a big thank you to our new friends at Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark, CA for hosting our first field trip of the summer. We had a great time riding tractors, picking our own veggies, and saying hi to the animals!
