We need your help!

The May L. To Memorial Garden brings to life the late Executive Director's spirit and vision for AYC  to nurture the development of community workers and ensure the well-being of all youth and families.

Volunteers will bring the garden back to life as a community beautification project that develops volunteerism and the spirit of giving in her honor. The event will take place on Wednesday, August 7th from 7AM- 5PM.

We will have two shifts available for the event: 7AM-12 PM and 12 PM-5 PM. To register, each prospective volunteer will have to sign in through this form.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us at volunteer@asianyouthcenter.org or (626) 537-0954.

Dear Friends,

As summer starts, I am pleased to share with you a little more detail about AYC’s Kindergarten class and ask for your support. We are helping youth become the leaders of tomorrow and it all starts when they are sooo little!

Kindergarten is so very important:
  • It introduces children ages 4-5 to the classroom setting
  • Children learn to listen, follow directions, and start learning academic basics
  • Development of social skills with other children are accelerated
  • Brain development at this age lays the foundation for organizing, planning, and focused attention, which are all needed later for academic achievement

We need your help! We need to raise $5,000 by midnight on July 31, 2019 in order to provide the best summer Kindergarten program!

AYC’s programs help youth. We care about what works best for youth. We pride ourselves on using data to improve outcomes for youth by redesigning programs, driving staff performance, and informing future planning. We have successfully streamlined our programs to maximize youth outcomes, minimize cost, and are committed to continuous quality improvement.

Your $500 donation will pay for gains of 27% on average for youth in Math!
Your $250 donation will pay for increased English Language scores on average by 22%.
Your $100 donation will help pay for Chinese Language instruction.
Your $50 donation will help pay for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) projects.
Your $25 donation will help pay for art education including visual arts, dance, and music.

Please make a donation now to support AYC’s Summer Kindergarten class!

Thank you for supporting our mission to empower low-income, immigrant, and at-risk youth and their families, through education, employment, and social services. We couldn’t do this without you!

Yours truly,

Michelle Freridge
Executive Director
