Congratulations to Jason Lin and Tim Guo for receiving scholarships from the Taiwanese American Citizens League (TACL) this past weekend! Both students are AYC volunteers and were very active with phone banking for voter registration and mobilization. They both plan on attending Pasadena City College in the Fall. We are so proud of all that they have achieved as new immigrants and look forward to seeing them become community leaders! Thank you, TACL, for extending their scholarships to AYC volunteers this year!  AYC is so proud to have a "double honor" at the 2017 Chinese Elected Officials Installation Dinner on Friday, June 9, 2017. Our Community Relations Manager, Florence Lin, was recognized as the Citizen of the Year for her dedication to community service and engagement efforts. Congratulations, Florence! Your hard work does not go unnoticed. Our distinguished Board Member, Dr. Gay Q. Yuen, also received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her decades of work as an educator, for her volunteerism, and her dedication to community activism. We are so honored to have Dr. Yuen on the AYC Board, and even more honored that she has volunteered to be the Co-Chair for our gala on October 27th! Congratulations, Florence and Dr. Yuen!  |
