Little acts of Giving Challenge

Asian Youth Center would like to invite our community to take part of our Little Acts of Giving challenge, to honor Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and uplift AAPI community-based organizations, especially in a time of rising anti-Asian hate, harassment, and violence. AYC’s Little Acts of Giving is aimed to nurture the idea that giving also takes form as small acts of kindness, and when done as a community, it can grow into something bigger.
In the month of May, help AYC plant the seeds of harmony with these Little Acts of Giving by sharing your stories of participating in an act of kindness, or even being a recipient of one, no matter how small, on social media.  To address the concerns of the Asian American community here in the San Gabriel Valley, AYC is partnering with local organizations and our neighbors to assess community needs and provide resources to our clients. Details on how to support AYC’s Little Acts of Giving and our projects to address anti-Asian sentiment can be found below!
Our goal for this campaign is to raise $15,000 to support AYC’s programs and services that provide safety resources to the community, not only to address hate, harassment, and physical violence, but also from food insecurity, eviction, and lack of other basic needs. Will you help us reach our goal? Start your Little Act of Giving today by making a gift, becoming a fundraiser, or taking a part of our photo challenge and spreading awareness!

From May 7 to June 4, AYC will be sharing photos and stories of our own Little Acts of Giving from our staff, clients, and partners, to encourage our community to do the same. Do good to feel good! Join us in participating in our Little Acts of Giving challenge by posting a photo of yourself doing an act of kindness to your community, to a neighbor, family, or friend. To enter, you must follow AYC100, tag us, tag three friends to participate, and hashtag #LittleActsofGiving in the post.

Participants with the most engagement (combined likes, shares, etc. on the original post) will win a $25 Target gift card. AYC will pick one winner from Instagram and one winner from Facebook.
Disclaimer: All entries may be used or shared as part of our campaign. By entering this contest, you are allowing AYC to share your photo for promotional purposes.
